"Just Dots"

Over at the Latest Trends Yahoo Group, we've started an Altered Book that each month we work on a two-page spread and a theme. This month's theme was Just Dots. I started altering an old book of "Little Women" but the pages were way too thin and brittle, so I changed to a chipboard book that I prefer anyway. I started these pages with some scrapbooking paper glued down with Scotch brand glue stick (works awesome with chipboard). The left side has two layers of paper. The top paper also had circles cut out using a hole punch. Then I lightly sanded over both pages and around all the edges. Applied dye inks in various shades of yellows, terra cotta and expresso. On the right page, I used a rubber stamp to cover the whole page in swirls then I added little dots to each inside curve. On the left, I added some circle stickers (SHHHHH! I never use stickers!!) and an engineers circle tool to draw in some additional dots. This was a fun theme, I struggled with it for a few days, trying to figure out exactly what I wanted to do, but you know once you get started, those ideas fly out the window anyway. The important thing is I got started and couldn't stop until it was done! LOL! Too much fun!
