A New Blog

I've decided to create a blog for a new adventure exploring water media, which has unlimited options and I didn't want to bore everyone by posting all the time about this one topic.  Over the past few months I have been so engrossed in this new love that I've spent 90% of my waking hours learning more about water media, i.e. watercolors.   I've read every single book and magazine I could get my hands on, watched a ton of youtube videos and now I am ready to branch out.   I want to include my true loves, all water mixed media and I would like to invite you to join me.   You can participate by leaving comments, posting links to your own work and of course, share your own knowledge.  For a more detailed description of what I am proposing, visit this new BLOG.
And I started a Facebook group.  Please come and join me HERE.

Valentine's Day

This morning I was thinking of what to share for Valentine's Day and one of the ideas I thought of was "Sharing Art".  There are several people who leave art laying around for others to find-why not you!  Here is a little something I made for you to print and share tomorrow.  It is sized at 5" x 7", but it can be printed at other sizes so you can print more to a page.  Use either card-stock or glossy photo paper and once you have them printed, simply cut them apart and leave one on your table at lunch, for your waitress, or leave one on your friends desk at work.   I challenge you to find other places to share art on Valentine's Day!  It's all for fun!  Enjoy your day!

12-12-12

12-12-12 Is perhaps the luckiest day of the year and I wanted to make sure I contributed something to the blog today, before I head out to finish the Christmas Shopping.  Here is a before and after image of a photo I took several years ago at Bear Lake in Idaho.  I was looking for a vintage feel to give this not so great photo and I'm happy with the final results.  Lots of tweaking of multiple layers with blending modes and masks.

Iphoneography

I recently discovered that I am addicted to my ipod camera, however, I am not thrilled with the results I have been getting. The images appear to be like old photos of grainy 35mm film photos.  (On the right) Not a bad thing, just something I'm not in favor of all the time. So here is a before photo and an after. I used an interesting texture provided by: PixelDust (A blog I discovered a few weeks ago when I was searching for photography blogs. I hope you will visit Bonnie and discover her for yourself as well.)
