Glue ATP's & Other Jewelry

While I was making these wonderfully fun, beautiful pins & necklaces, I jotted down 10 tidbits for you.

1. Use a non-stick rubber mat, made for hot glue.
2. Make your glue pile about 1/4" thick and lightly press your stamp in.
3. Use glycerin on your stamp before you press it into the glue. This also conditions the stamp.
4. The hardened glue is easy to cut with sharp scissors, but do this before you paint your piece.
5. If using mounted stamps, be sure to put glycerin on the wood part too!
6. Use stamps that don't have a densely detailed image, open is better.
7. Do not use a paint brush to apply the rub n' buff! Use a cosmetic sponge.
8. Have plenty of glue sticks on hand, it takes approx. 1/2 of a stick per stamped image.
9. Use a paper piercing tool to make holes in your hardened piece, to add jump rings.
10. Varnish the piece. I noticed my paint trying to peel.

Hi Cindy. Stopping by from our CC group. These glue ATPs are really pretty - who would've guessed hot glue could be dressed up so nicely?! Hmmm... I have a few sticks begging to be melted...

Hi Cindy,

This is Autumn from the CC group. Some of these look almost like PMC. You've done a masterful job with a humnble ingredient. Thanks very much for sharing!

I like hot glue too, but I mostly use it in Krafty Lady molds and make embellishments. I need to branch out. I didn't know about using glycerin. It sticks to rubber if you don't.

These are really lovely. I bought a glue gun months ago but the glue is rubbish. It's no good for gluing. So I'm off to try some of these with it.
