Workshop-Retreat

Starting in February I will be offering fee-based month long workshop-retreats! These workshops will consist of several assignments and will be combined into one art project. These workshops are designed to teach you how to use your digital camera, altering software programs, like PhotoShop Elements and incorporating materials & supplies into your artwork. Each month you will learn new things, incorporate new supplies, try out some new techniques. I will be posting more about these fun, learning experiences in the near future, as signups will begin in December. I have already created a private, by invitation only group and have begun loading files & photos for the first assignment, which is learning how to take a landscape photo in sharp focus. Notice that everything in this photo from the smallest leaf to the grain of the wood beside the feed bin is all in sharp focus. This is the first assignment and I will be teaching you how to achieve this during the "Out in the Field" lesson. I hope you will join me for an artful journey beginning in the New Year 2009!

Can this be done with any camera or do you need a more advance, nice camera? I have an older olympus digital.

Christy-You have to be able to manually set the camera for landscape photos for this first workshop. If you are able to do that with your older digital, then yes, use it! This first workshop is an experiment for me and if it works out, then there will be more workshops for studio shoots, portraits, micro work, etc.
