After searching for usable photos to combine into a layout-www.sxc.com (Stock Photo), I found this awesome antique red velvet chair I just had to play around with. The ghost image of the dancer is a vintage image of a dancer sitting on a hard back chair. I've had this photo for awhile, in my stash, knowing eventually I would get a chance to use her. I extracted her to make her the focal ghost image in this layout. Here are the steps I took this morning to create the final layout:
It started out as "Ghost Dancer" (Looking at this again-I think it needs a spotlight shining on the woman-what do you think?)
But ended up as "Silent Film Star"
This still didn't feel finished to me-so I went back and added a few more things: Here is the final version:

Hi Cindy,
I really like this. The vintage "ghost" against the stark B/W and red is very striking. And it's very interesting to watch your process. One of the things I most like about digital art is the way it can take on a life of its own, and end up becoming something very different from the idea it began with.
Fantastic digital work!
